Tina Baine and friend

Tina Pershing Baine grew up in both Southern and Northern California and earned a journalism degree at Fresno State. She has worked for several California newspapers, including the Selma Enterprise, Gilroy Dispatch, and Santa Cruz Sentinel, and has received several California Newspaper Publishers Association awards for her photography.

In 2002 her design was chosen for the mosaic base of the peace pole at the Aromas Fire Station. In 2015 she was awarded the Wings of Creativity award by the Aromas Hills Artisans for spearheading the community’s creation of a large fish sculpture in downtown Aromas.

She lives in Aromas with her husband Wallace Baine.
